Best AK-47 Loadout To Use In Warzone Season 5

Every seasoned Call of Duty player knows about the AK-47. The assault rifle has appeared in nearly every game since the original release of Modern Warfare in 2008 with it only being left out in the games which are set in the past such as World at War.

Even in the more futuristic games, it has still managed to be a fan favorite among players for its perfect blend of accuracy, power and stability with barely any recoil to speak of, and this translates into Warzone where it has become one of the most used weapons in the PVP arena thanks to just how reliable it is for essentially any situation.

However, while it’s definitely one of the most effective assault rifles on its own, there are a few modifications worth making that can elevate this gun to a whole new level entirely.

Best attachments For The AK-47 In Season 5

Muzzle: GRU Suppressor

When it comes to range and accuracy, two factors which are crucially important for taking down enemies from afar in Warzone, there really is nothing like the GRU Suppressor.

You will be sacrificing some aiming steadiness and it will take a little longer to aim down sights, however the boost in the bullet velocity allows the bullets to travel much further alongside gaining much more vertical recoil control so that your AK doesn’t start jumping around while you shoot.

With an additional boost in the effective damage range so that there is barely any drop-off, the GRU is the muzzle you definitely will want to go with.

Barrel: 20’’ Spetsnaz RPK Barrel

This attachment will again dampen your walking speed along with your sprint speed which will end up leaving you a little less mobile, however with the AK you really want to be prioritizing stationary medium to long shots which is why the RPK Barrel works so well.

With improved bullet velocity, more effective damage range and both horizontal and vertical recoil control, the RPK barrel essentially turns the AK into a light machine gun with how damaging and deadly accurate it becomes at range.

Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip

The Spetsnaz Grip adds even more recoil control to a weapon that is already a laser when you fire while aiming down sights.

Your movement and overall mobility will again suffer slightly, but this really doesn’t matter when you’re firing from a distance and landing with every shot thanks to the grip.

Magazine: Bakelite 60 Rnd

A lot of people actually prefer using the standard 45 Rnd magazine for the AK since it doesn’t sacrifice any ADS time and still gives you a decent amount of rounds with each clip.

However, as players start to favor ranged guns more and more including sniper rifles and LMGs, it’s become much more optimal to have as many bullets as you can so that you don’t waste any time reloading.

This is where the Bakelite 60 Rnd magazine shines, not quite as fast as some of its counterparts, but you won’t be worrying about that when you have a full magazine of devastating power which has become a must in the current Warzone climate.

Optic: Axial Arms 3x

There has been much debate between Warzone players over the years surrounding which assault rifle optic works the best and which is the must-use in most situations.

While there are a few contenders, the Axial Arms 3x is definitely the most reliable in terms of medium to long-range shooting.

With a 3.0x magnification, it allows you to adjust the lens to where your target is, making it incredibly versatile and perfect for lining up accurate shots from far away, while also being just as good when raiding buildings for loot.

The SUSAT Multizoom has definitely also been a scope that many players will argue works the best for the AK, however it just isn’t as reliable and versatile as the Axial Arms 3x which many have argued is the best scope to come to Warzone.

Perks And Equipment

To get the best out of the AK-47, there are a few extra pieces of equipment that you can use in a loadout to make sure it is as effective as possible.

In terms of perks, Overkill, Double Time and Combat Scout are great for helping with maneuverability while also allowing you to carry the maximum amount of attachments.

Semtex’s have been the go-to for many people in Warzone for quite some time, and that doesn’t change here as when they are paired up with the Heartbeat Sensor you’re almost guaranteed to get a kill if an enemy is in close to medium range.

If you are a little more confident in your precision skills, you can also go with the Throwing Knife to pick up some quick and easy kills that can help you out massively when an enemy is right in front of you when you’re reloading.

Other Good Loadouts For The AK-47

While this is definitely the best overall loadout for the AK-47 that you can currently make on Warzone, there are a few other ways you can customize the gun if you have a preferred playstyle.

Heavier AK-47 Loadout

This loadout is best for those players who don’t mind sacrificing as much mobility and speed as possible to get the maximum amount of stopping power out of the AK-47.

This does mean the loadout is extremely cumbersome and won’t allow you to sprint and slide around the map as you might want to, however, if you usually prefer to hang back with massive magazines of ammunition, this is the best way to create a heavy AK-47 loadout.

The best attachments for this kind of loadout are:

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: 23.0’’ Romanian
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
  • Magazine: 75 Round Drum Mags

Close Combat AK-47 Loadout

While the AK is definitely more suited to medium to long ranged gunfights, if you are someone who enjoys being a little faster and zipping around the map to grab as much loot as possible, there are a few attachments you can use to make the gun a little faster on the draw while also granting you a lot more mobility if that’s your style of play.

Here are the best attachment for a close combat AK-47 loadout:

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: 8.1’’ Compact Barrel
  • Laser: 5mW Laser
  • Aim-Op Reflex Sight
  • Stock: No Stock

Frequently Asked Questions

Is The AK-47 The Best Assault Rifle In Warzone?

While there was once a time that the AK-47 was the undisputed best assault rifle in Warzone with the release of the Cold War weapons, since Season 3 it has been receiving small but very substantial nerfs which have seen it drop off a little from its glory days with the deadly and reliable XM4 now being seen as the very best.

With that being said however, the AK is still considered by many to be the third or second best assault rifle due to how much stopping power its bullets have along with a far-reaching drop of range that makes it extremely similar to a marksman rifle in many ways.

How Do You Unlock The AK-47?

The AK-47 was introduced in the Cold War collection of guns and can be unlocked as soon as you reach Player Level 7.

If you’re on multiplayer, this can be achieved easily by playing a few games of Team Deathmatch or if you really want to level up fast, jump into a few matches of Nuketown 24/7.

For Warzone players, we would recommend Plunder mode where the game is a little faster paced and you can respawn, allowing you to rack up more kills and experience than in the regular game mode.

Summary

While it’s received a huge number of nerfs across its time as one of the most popular weapons in Warzone, with the right attachments, the AK-47 can still be turned into one of the most reliable and effective guns you can use, especially when paired up with the right equipment and perks.

While this is definitely the best set of attachments you can use on the AK, don’t be afraid to switch one or two out to fit your play style so that you can make the gun as dangerous as possible once you parachute into the arena.
