Everything You Need To Know About League Of Legends ARURF

Every League of Legends player is waiting for the day that ARURF comes back. It stands for All Random Ultra Rapid Fire and is one of the rotating game modes in LoL, it is also one of the most beloved.

ARURF is similar in how it plays to URF (Ultra Rapid Fire), only you don’t get the choice in which champion you play as since they are instead randomly chosen for you.

Everything You Need To Know About League Of Legends ARURF

Since URF started as an April Fools Day joke, it is impressive that it has come far enough to warrant having different game types to it.

It returned during patch 12.9 to the excitement of everyone. As a game mode, it is very chaotic and fast-paced with games online lasting about 20 minutes. This is due to the changes made to the game mode which shortens some waiting periods.

Below we have a guide on everything you need to know about ARURF and also some of the best champions in this mode.

Details On The Game Mode

Like URF, ARURF is played on Summoner’s Rift with some select changes to gameplay, but no great changes to actual champions’ skills or abilities.

The 2022 ARURF game rotation that came with patch 12.9 was affected by the preseason item rework.

Below we have some of the changes you will find in a game of ARURF.

Some Changes

If you are a veteran of URF, you may recognize some of these changes since ARURF is essentially an addition to URF.

Final Thoughts

ARURF is when you combine the mechanics of URF and the randomness of ARAM to create a very fun and energetic game mode.

Whenever it is announced to be coming back, there is a buzz in the LoL community with players surging to their computers to play it for as long as possible. There are even petitions online begging Riot Games to make it a permanent addition like ARAM.

This is because it is one of the rotating game modes, so it isn’t around forever so you need to play it while you can.

In ARURF you are able to mass spam abilities and spells for ultimate fun without thinking too hard about strategy.

The random champions mean that you get to play as someone who you previously would’ve never picked and get to try out their abilities with little consequence.

If you are someone who frequently plays as random champions, then you are able to hone your skills and are able to get yourself reacquainted with the skills of the champions.

Overall, ARURF is an extremely fun game mode and we cannot wait until it is announced to be coming back.
