Logging Out Of Fortnite Using PlayStation

The process of logging out of Fortnite using a PS4 or PS5 are pretty much the same and quite straightforward, unfortunately there’s no quick way just to log out from the main menu though.

[1] Step One

Go to options from the game’s main menu page and scroll down until you find the option for support. Select this and you will be presented with the PlayStation’s browser.

[2] Step Two

The URL will direct you to the Epic Games website. Allow the page to load fully and then take a look at the top right hand side of the screen. You should be able to see a “sign in” function. Click that.

[3] Step Three

Selecting sign in will allow you to access your Epic Games account. You may need to use another verification step such as a verification code to fully sign in.

[4] Step Four

Once you’ve finally and completely signed in, you will need to go back to where you first saw the “sign in” function. Click this again, but this time you will see your username.

You will see an option for “account”. You will need to select that option.

[5] Step Five

You will then be presented with more options on the left side of your screen. Look around until you see the connections option, which you will want to select.

[6] Step Six

On your connections screen, you will be redirected to a submenu which opens “apps”. Here, you will want to click on “accounts” and this will show you every connection to Fortnite that you have made.

This also accounts for your connection to the PlayStation Network on your PS4 or PS5.

[7] Step Seven

Choose the PlayStation Network and make sure you tick all of the boxes. You will then want to select “unlink” and this will then sign you out of your Fortnite account on your PlayStation console.

Note: these steps are exactly the same for signing out of Fortnite on your Xbox or Nintendo Switch.

Can I Just Change The User?

Yes, you can. To change the user you will need to restart the game and reboot the console. A sign in page should appear on the screen – and it is here that you have the option to switch your accounts or set up a brand new account.

Can I Sign Out Of Fortnite On My PlayStation Using My PC?

You definitely can. Essentially the steps are exactly the same as using a PlayStation to do so, but you won’t have the automatic URL direction from your Fortnite account.

So, you will need to go to the Epic Games website directly from your web browser on your PC. Once again, you will follow the same instructions as before.

Take a look in the corner for the sign in function and follow the instructions accordingly. Once again, you may be asked to verify yourself a second time through a verification code.

Once you have fully signed in, select your username and head down to the same options that we discussed for your PlayStation account.

Tick all the boxes and unlink them from your connections. If your PlayStation is on, you may notice that as soon as your selections have been saved and you’re fully signed out, your screen gives you a notification.

Of course, if you are in a game, you will be directly booted out of it and you will need to sign in again if you want to play Fortnite using that account.

Can I Sign Out Of Fortnite On My Tablet?

Yes, in fact you can sign out of Fortnite on pretty much any device that allows you access to a web browser. Essentially all of the steps are the same.

Be aware that some devices may have specific browser settings and this could cause problems for the verification process, so you’d be better off signing out using your PS4/5 or your PC.

Final Thoughts

And that’s it! We hope this guide has been useful for you and you’ve successfully signed out of your Fortnite account!
