When it comes to picking a weapon for Call of Duty: Warzone, you are spoilt for choice with the type of weapons that you are able to use, but it’s important to try and pick a weapon that is going to give you the best chance of dominating the opposition and winning the game, which means you should become accustomed to the game’s meta quickly in order to stand the best chance of winning!
One of the best weapons in the game is the AS44, and many players opt for this assault rifle when it comes to building their loadouts, but what should the rest of the loadout consist of?
If you want to know what your AS44 loadout should include in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 Last Stand Reloaded, then read through our guide to building the best AS44 in this Warzone season!
What Is The AS44?
Based on the old M1 Garand, The AS44 is a Russian-made weapon that uses 7.62x39mm ammunition, which means it has great range and deals a high amount of damage to the opposition too, so it’s great for those medium to long-range gunfights.
The time to kill with this weapon is excellent, which is why so many people choose to use this gun.
However, there is one issue, and that’s because the high rate of fire means that the recoil is equally as high, which can make the gun difficult to control, which is something we’ll aim to resolve in the loadout!
How To Unlock The AS44?
Originally a part of the weapon pool from Call of Duty: Vanguard, the AS44 later made its way into Warzone, becoming a part of the Assault Rifle weapon class.
If you want to use the AS44 for yourself in the game, then you’ll need to reach level 33 before you can unlock it. So the best way to get this gun is simply to play a few warzone matches to help build your XP.
Unfortunately, there’s no real way of speeding up the levelling up process other than spending more time in-game, the XP gaining process in Warzone is simple, and ultimately the more time you spend playing, the faster you will level up.
You should also focus on trying to complete the daily and weekly challenges for extra XP bonuses to help you reach those higher levels faster.
Once you finally reach level 33, you’ll be able to unlock the weapon, and begin creating your loadout!
Best Loadout For The AS44
- Muzzle – MX Silencer
- Barrel – Kovalevskaya 615mm
- Optic – SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x
- Stock – Kovalevskaya Custom
- Underbarrel – Carver Foregrip
- Magazine – 7.62 Gorenko 50 Round Mags
- Ammo Type – Lengthened
- Rear Grip – Polymer Grip
- Perk 1 – Fully Loaded
- Perk 2 – Tight Grip
These are the attachments that are going to help turn the AS44 from a decent weapon into one of the best guns in the entire game.
The barrel option, the Kovalevskaya 615mm, well help to increase the range of the AS44, as well as the bullet velocity and its accuracy, whilst the SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x will ensure that the recoil doesn’t affect the accuracy when aiming down the sight as much as it would with the iron sights, although it does slow the aim down sight speed.
Running out of ammunition during a gunfight is never ideal, which is why we’ve chosen the 7.62 Gorenko 50 Round Magazines, partnered with the increased bullet velocity of the lengthened ammo.
In addition to this, opting for Fully Loaded as the first perk means you’ll receive your loadout with the maximum amount of ammunition, so you should have plenty of firepower as soon as you receive your loadout.
Our second perk choice is Tight Grip, which will help to reduce some of the high recoil caused by the rate of fire.
The MX Silencer is vital for keeping your location hidden whilst engaging enemies, and also provides better accuracy, as well as an increase in aim down sight speed too.
For the stock, the Kovalevskaya Custom makes it possible to strafe faster whilst aiming, ensuring that you don’t miss your shots if your enemy tries running away.
Just like any other assault rifle in Warzone, the rear grip option should always be the Polymer Grip, which when used in conjunction with our choice of stock and perk, as well as the Carver Foregrip, will help to neutralize the heavy recoil found on the gun, allowing you to place your shots accurately every time.
Best Perks And Equipment For The AS44 Loadout
- Secondary – Macro 5 or HDR
- Tactical – Heartbeat Sensor or Stim
- Lethal – Claymore or Throwing Knives
- Perk 1 – E.O.D. or Quick Fix
- Perk 2 – Overkill
- Perk 3 – Combat Scout or Amped
When it comes to choosing your first perk, the choice between E.O.D. and Quick Fix is a difficult one, but it all comes down to your play style.
For those who like to face the enemy head on and are constantly in gunfights, then Quick Fix is going to be the ideal perk.
Whilst E.O.D. is great for the more cautious players who want to take less damage from non-killstreak based explosions or fire.
To us, Overkill is an absolute must when it comes to choosing your second perk, as opting for a second primary is the best way to cover the weaknesses of the AS44 build, so whether you want to opt for Macro 5 to cover yourself during close quarters combat, or go with the HDR to hit your enemies at long range is up to you, but paired with the AS44, both of these can be lethal!
The third perk choice again comes down to preference. For those who want to be able to switch between their weapons faster, then Amped is going to be the best option, as it’ll ensure that you’re able to pull out your secondary faster, allowing you to get the drop on your enemies.
However, Combat Scout is also a particularly useful perk too, as it displays the location of the enemy team when one of them is shot, which is good for staying aware of your surroundings and whether or not you might be being flanked.
Deciding your tactical slot option is also a difficult task, the heartbeat sensor is a good option for those who like to track enemy players nearby and plan how you can successfully take them down.
Alternatively, the stim will provide the user with instant health regeneration, which is great for those who like to rush into gunfights.
For a lethal, throwing knives are possibly the most popular option, they can make for a great backup option during close quarters gunfights, and it’s even possible to one shot people when they have a minimal amount of armor.
Or, if a player has already been downed, a throwing knife will one shot any player. A claymore makes for another good option too, which will provide you with protection from the flank as you engage with the enemies.
Alternatives To The AS44
If you’ve been trying the AS44 and find that it’s not for you, then there are some alternatives available for you that still have their place in the current meta, so if you want to try an alternative for the AS44, then try out some of these options!
- Cooper Carbine – Hybrid A.R.
- NZ-41 – A.R.
- MP40 – S.M.G
Out of these options, we thoroughly enjoy using the NZ-41, it’s one of the best guns in the current Warzone meta alongside the AS44, so if you want to find a gun similar to the AS44, then opting for this assault rifle will definitely be a good choice.
Alternatively, the Cooper Carbine or the MP40 SMG also make for good options.
The AS44 has experienced some buffs throughout its time in Warzone, with the Empress Falchion A barrel attachment receiving increased recoil control, the Kovalevskaya 615mm had its recoil control increased too.
Finally, the 7.62x54mmR 40 round magazines also saw the recoil control increased upto 25%, the damage range increased to 30% and the muzzle velocity also increased to 30% too.
Overall, this loadout should be able to provide you with everything you need in order to dominate the enemies in Warzone, so if you’ve been struggling to put together a loadout that is able to compete in the current Warzone meta, then hopefully this app will be able to allow you to stand a chance against the competition in Warzone.
If you want to make your own adjustments to this loadout then feel free, as it’s all about finding a weapon that works for you and that you enjoy using!
