If you’re an avid player of Warzone, then you’ll know how easy it is to be able to spend hours upon hours a day playing in order to win as many games as possible.
But have you ever thought to look back and check what your KD is?
Maintaining a high KD ratio used to be a sign of skill in many of the previous instalments in the Call of Duty series, however much has changed since then, but it is still possible for you to check this stat!
So if you’re wondering what your KD ratio is, and how to check it, read on through this guide!
What Is A KD Ratio In Warzone?
If you’re new to the game or have seen the words ‘KD Ratio’ mentioned somewhere previously and didn’t know what it meant, then allow us to explain.
KD stands for Kill/Death. And is a calculation based upon how many kills you get per death in a Call of Duty game.
It’s essentially a sign of skill, as the higher your KD ratio, the more kills you’re getting between each death.
Although in Warzone, you can often go right to the end of the match without killing many people and it’s not as prominent of a stat as it used to be in the traditional Call of Duty games.
Regardless of its importance, knowing that you have a particularly high KD can be a great way to brag amongst your friends, and can help introduce some friendly rivalry into your gaming group as to who can get the highest KD.
Just don’t get too distracted that you forget the main objective – to win!
How To Check Your KD?
Thankfully, navigating your way around Warzone’s menus is made easy thanks to Raven Software, who has ensured that their menus are easy to operate and extremely accessible for the user.
As a result of this, finding your Warzone KD is actually extremely easy!
In order to check your Warzone stats, including your KD ratio, then all you need to do is follow these easy steps:
- Firstly, begin by starting up Warzone (see also ‘What Is A Special Weapon In A Warzone?‘), and letting it load up.
- Once the game is open, find your way to the game’s menu with all of the tabs, and find your way to the ‘Barracks’ tab.
- From there, you’re going to want to select the ‘Records’ option.
- You will then be greeted with a range of stats that you’ll have the choice of viewing, which you can then select your KD ratio.
How Do I Know If My KD Ratio Is Good?
If you’re new to Warzone (see also ‘How To Unlock The Nail Gun In Call Of Duty: Warzone‘) it can be difficult to know whether the figure you’re given for your KD is actually a good or not, so here’s a simple way of figuring it out.
If your KD is under 1.0, it means that you’re being killed more often than you’re killing other players, which is generally considered to be a “negative” KD.
Which means that you’ll have to make some improvements if you’re going to try and brag to your friends.
If your K.D is over 1.0, then your KD is considered “positive”, and it means that you generally tend to kill more people than you get killed.
What’s The Average Warzone KD?
Another way of comparing whether or not your Warzone KD is good or not is to compare it to the average Warzone KD!
The general consensus is that the average KD in Warzone is around 0.9 – 0.92, which is because there are sometimes a lot of suicides or accidental deaths in game.
Which brings the average down slightly, but most players are pretty much getting one kill per death.
How Can I See My Friend’s KD?
If you’re trying to brag to your friends about your Warzone KD, then it might be worth checking their KD first to make sure you don’t embarrass yourself.
Checking your friends’ KD is just as easy as checking your own, and requires you to take exactly the same steps as you took to find your own!
Find your way to the ‘Record’s page, and when you select KD, it should then show you the KDs of everyone on your friends list who has played Warzone.
This should give you an idea of how good your friends are at the game, and whether you’re better than them or not!
How Can I Improve My KD On Warzone?
If you feel like you have a particularly low KD on Warzone, or you’re simply trying to increase your KD so you can be the best out of your friends, then there is one simple and easy way you can go about this to ensure that you’re getting all the kills you need to bring up that KD!
One of the most useful things you’re given when playing Warzone on your heads-up display is the mini map, which gives you all the information you need to know, including where your teammates are, and more importantly, where the enemies are in relation to your position.
You should try to check your minimap every 3 seconds to see if there’s anyone in your vicinity, knowing that your enemies are nearby is the first crucial step to increasing that KD because you’ll be ready for them if you know where they are.
Just be sure not to stare at it too long and become distracted, as this will likely mean that you will get caught in a bad position by the enemy, and they’ll be able to kill you first!
Checking your KD in Warzone is made easy thanks to the super accessible menus, and you’ll soon be comparing your KD against your friends, and if you want to try and improve your KD, remember to check your Mini map!
