Shin Megami Tensei V is the latest of the SMT franchise, where you battle demons and can recruit them to your cause.
In this article, we’ll be telling you about Miracles and how you can unlock them, with a few recommendations to help you on your journey.
What Is A Miracle?
A Miracle is a passive ability or effect that buffs you and your allies’ stats. Miracles are divided into four categories: Supremacy, Doctrine, Awakening, and Cosmos. All of these have different effects on you and your team.
By focusing on Miracles on the Supremacy skill tree, you can increase your options in combat.
These Miracles allow you to improve the demons you can recruit through negotiation, regenerating, and overall improving your skill slots and the number of demons you can recruit.
The Doctrine tree focuses on Miracles that improve how you can summon demons. Unlocking Miracles in the Doctrine tree can allow the demons available in your compendium to cost less.
It will also lessen the cost of demon fusions and provide more perks in the compendium.
While the Doctrine Miracles improve your demon fusions, Awakening Miracles allow you to have more demons in your party. You can summon more of them and add more skill slots to learn and improve your abilities.
The Cosmos’ tree focuses on boosting Nahobino’s skills in various elements. These increase the potency of each skill and reduce the cost of SP used when using these skills.
Unlocking Miracles In Shin Megami Tensei V
To unlock Miracles in Shin Megami Tensei V, you must have opened the World of Shadows and the Apotheosis tab.
You can then see the option to Learn a Miracle, where you will be given a menu to trade Glory to unlock Miracles in each skill tree.
Glory is an in-game currency you can farm by fighting crystal-headed demons known as Miman. These will give you 5 Glory. You’ll find Amalgams hidden away that provide 50 Glory when you destroy them.
Another easier way to find Glory is by defeating Nigi Mitama, which looks like water droplets.

Best Miracles to Unlock First
There are many Miracles available to unlock, but you need to prioritize the best ones to help you go further into the story. To help you, here are our recommendations:
- Art of Essences
- Deathly Aura
- Demon Proficiency
- Divine Amalgamation
- Divine Eminence
- Divine Garrison
- Divine Persuasion
- Divine Proficiency
- Inheritance Violation
- Knowledge of Tools
- Magatsuhi Wellspring
- Rank Violation
Generally, it’s better to wait until you have more Glory before focusing on the Cosmos Miracle tree. Many Cosmos Miracles boost your stats, but it’s better to focus on gaining more Demons and stat debuffs before worrying about your Nabohino.
You don’t want to waste the Glory that you earn in battle, as it’s not the easiest to find. While killing Miman can get you five additional Glory, there are only 100 located in the world of Chaos.
So make sure you keep an eye on how you spend your Miracles, as they play a vital role in ensuring your survival.
